IT 1st Level Support Technician
Your tasks and responsibilities:
/ Installation and configuration of Client PC’s, Notebooks and peripheral devices (printers, scanners etc.) / Installation and configuration of IP Telephones (conventional telephones, faxes, etc.) / Installation and configuration of Mobile Telephones (mobile phones, Smartphones, GPRS/UMTS Datacards etc.) / Cooperation in all active and passive network issues / 1st level maintenance of all IT Services / Maintaining the IT inventory database – hardware and software / Dealing with questions and error messages of any kind with the collection and classification in the IT Service Management Tool / Care, support and instruct the users in all information technologies, mainly in the client area (PC’s, laptops, mobile devices, printers, Smartphones, telephones, mobile phones, client software, business systems i.e. SharePoint and CRM) / Initial analysis of error messages and questions, resolve short-term problems, answering simple questions and implementation of workarounds. / Coordination between users and overlaying Support Units (2nd and 3rd Level) / Consult the user enquiries and change requests for all client hard and software topics / Verify the compliance with Fair Use regulations in cooperation with the 2nd Level Support / Implement client software as part of the 1st level activities / Proactively informing users about technical faults and operational report / Using, creating and updating of operating manuals, instructions and checklists, as well as the IT Knowledgebase / Plan, organise, prepare and provide training for client hardware, software, communication devices and business information systems / Educate the users on the proper use of used Fronius hardware and software (Fair Use Agreement) / Contract management of IT equipment (printers, mobile phones etc.) IT budget management (server, hardware, software licenses etc.)
GCSE Maths and English GCSE IT – advantageous but not essential / Educated in MS Technology (optional MS-Certificates for actual Client- and or Server products) / Vendor specific training for hardware and software used within Fronius / Remote and telephone training, communication training (How to support IT-Users) / At least 1 year support experience in an IT-Department preferred / Basic knowledge of IT / Knowledge of Windows systems / Knowledge of basic networking principles / Knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Skype4Business is preferred but not essential as full training can be given / Organised, motivated with a positive can-do attitude / Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written – German would be a plus but not essential / Ability to travel to Austria for training and attend international expert meetings approx. once a year / Ability to troubleshoot and solve IT problems / Willingness to work flexibly and accommodate company needs, at times out of normal working hours / Willingness to constantly improve and educate
